ISFAR Colloquium
In collaboration with the Australian Society for French Studies
University of South Australia, Adelaide
December 6th 2016
CALL FOR PAPERS
French-Australian Relations – the field today
The role of the study of French-Australian relations, as a branch of French Studies in Australia, has been growing steadily over recent years. The 2016 ISFAR colloquium is an important further step in that development, and the collaboration with the annual Australian Society for French Studies conference is especially pertinent, since ISFAR’s interests are closely aligned to this year’s ASFS conference theme of “mobilities and migrations”.
The ISFAR Colloquium will take place at the City West Campus of the University of South Australia on the afternoon of 6th December 2016. Submissions for presentations are hereby called for, and should be received by 5th September 2016.
Papers may be offered on any French-Australian relations topic: historical or contemporary, cultural or linguistic. Please send your proposal (200-250 word abstract, with contact details) on or before 5th September 2016 to the conference organising committee at isfarinc@gmail.com.
Proposals may be for:
- Papers: 20-minute presentation followed by 10 minutes of discussion
- Round table: three or more participants; 90 minutes including discussion
Submissions from post-graduates working in the field will be particularly welcome.
All participants will have the opportunity to submit their papers for publication in The French Australian Review.
Further information about the conference, including suggestions for accommodation will be available on the ASFS 2016 conference website in due course.
