The Australian Journal of French Studies (AJFS) celebrated its sixtieth anniversary in 2023. It has been published by Liverpool University Press since 2012. It is an international, peer-reviewed journal devoted to French and Francophone literature, culture and society.  There are three numbers per year. The journal encourages new theoretical engagements and welcomes interdisciplinary approaches. Articles are published in English and in French. The majority of numbers are focused on a specific theme, but numbers on miscellaneous topics are usually published annually, and submissions on miscellaneous topics are welcome at any time.
