Professor Brian Nelson wins NSW Premier’s Translation Prize 2015

ASFS is delighted to be able to congratulate one of its own. Professor Brian Nelson, known to us all as the editor of the Australian Journal of French Studies, has been awarded the 2015 NSW Premier’s Translation Prize for his translations of the work of Emile Zola. This is a well-deserved award for Brian’s skill as a translator; it is also, as he himself points out, a boost for all of us who have an academic interest in translation, as it puts translation squarely on the literary studies map. Many congratulations, Brian.
